Hi guys. First time poster and Newbie Backup burner here. I've try to google the answer to my question but nothing pops up.
Im making back ups and for some reason, all my backs ups play fine but the cut scenes skips. It ranges from every 5 seconds to every second !!
I am using a Pioneer 116d burner in an external case running the newest burner firmware. I am using imgburn. The layer brake is set correctly. I am buring on 1x speed. I am using verbatim dvd (made in Singapore. I herd dvds made in Singapore are no good and only verbatim made in Taiwan or India are good. Not sure if this is true.) I made sure my antispyware and anti virus are both off and not running in the back ground.
Can anybody think of what is causing the frequent skips? I know it seems minor but it really ruins a game when a dramatic cut scene keeps skipping. Please help !! Thanks All
P.s. I know there is a section on backup burning but i will be honest and say i dont want to read over 96 pages of replies. I read the first and last few pages and i couldn't find my answer. Thanks for understanding.

Thanks for the quick reply Chnky18. I burned street fighter 4 at 2.4x and the intro skipped really bad. i Then burned it on 1x and it seems to skip less. I also backed up re5 at 2x and 1x ... they both seems to skip really bad.... :(

You got that backwards. You want Singapore, not India or Taiwan.

You will need to have the new dashboard update in your 360 called the NXE (New Xbox Experience). Then when you have the disc inside press Y and then choose Install to Hard Drive.

Why are you burning so slowly? There's really no need for it with good media burned on a modern burner. Do a surface scan of the disc with DVDInfoPro or Nero CD-DVD Speed. Try out different speeds of burn, then scan each disc. I'm using Verbatim MKM-003-000 (made in Singapore) at the moment, and I get the best burns at 8X, which is their rated speed. Using 4X or 6X actually caused more errors to occur on the disc.
Also, check for updated firmware for your burner. If you haven't updated it in ages, or you've never updated it, that may well be the cause. I remember having a spindle of regular DVD+Rs that were giving me coaster after coaster until I updated the drive's firmware and then everything was fine.

When i installed RE5 to the harddrive it played the cut scene then went black and just showed subtitles after a while it came up with cant read disc, so i read up and you should delete the game and its save from the harddrive or take your harddrive out and memory card and see if it works. And some games take out the cut scenes so it fits on 8.5gb disc's.
Hope this helps

My burner is running the newest firmware, also it turns out i have pioneer 116D not 115D. I am using verbatim made in singapore too. It says it burns from 2.4x to 6x. So i should download dvdinfopro. Scan one of my previous burned games and that program will tell me if i burned that game at the best speed? Never used dvdinforpros before sorry.
