Hi guys,

Ugh, so I've been trying for 4 hours straight to get this working properly with little luck. What I'm TRYING to do is this: use usbhostfs redirection to play ISOs off my PC's hdd, AND stream display to my desktop at the same time.

I've tried all sorts of combinations of plugins and RemoteJoy versions.

I'm so confused and the setup is such a mess that I won't even bother trying to explain what's happening. I'll just say this - it doesn't work.

What DOES work is using RemoteJoyLite (deliberately avoiding IRShell) to stream my PSP's display to my PC while running a game off the PSP's memory stick.

What DOESN'T work is using IRShell's inbuilt RemoteJoy to do the same thing. The RemoteJoy connection to my PC cuts off as soon as I load the game.

On top of this, I can't get redirection to work, like... at all. Attempting to load any ISO off my harddrive freezes IRShell up completely.

I also tried something called RemoteJoy4IRS, and guess what? When I run it, nothing appears, but I can see it sitting in my systray. When I click it... MY ENTIRE START MENU DISAPPEARS. So yeah, that doesn't work either.

All I want to do is this:

I want to 1) run a game off my HDD, and 2) simultaneously stream PSP display to my desktop.

I've followed aaaaaaaall sorts of walkthroughs and guides for this. I just don't know wtf I'm missing, and it's driving me insane.

Here's my setupy info:

PSP Slim 2001
CFW: 5.00 M33-4
IRShell: 4.7
Active plugins: irsautoboot.prx
Disabled plugins: RemoteJoyLite.prx, popsloader.prx

PSP Type B is installed and working properly.

RAAAAAAAAAAAGE. Please offer any advice you may think helpful and I'll let you know if it helped at all. Thank you. <3

Hey dude, I got the same problem......Im too trying to stream iso's from my pc to my psp. I Can get the USBHOST redirection (with irshell v5) working and can see the iso's on my HDD, but when I attempt to run the iso it just runs the bloody UMD, no matter what I do. So yeah im stuck on this too, and yeah i can get remotejoy to work aswell-but whats the point of that when the psp 2k has got a TV out on it. I just want to stream my iso's.

For example....i start irshell, and it works, then usbhost redirection, and it works, open up the iso folder on my HDD, works too, then when i choose a game(have to put any umd in the umd bay-lets say...AVP Requiem)so when i choose any game, it comes up with AVP Requiem in the background and says .....

Launch ISO?

X :normal launch
O :via Devhook
[] :via Devhook w/ir shell
/\ :cancel

I spent all night on this, like 10 fricken hours and still no joy, i did get the psp to see the iso's on my HDD tho.

a 16gig card is about 500 hundred bucks here-stuff that-so thats out of the Q. hence-streaming iso's from pc to psp is a way better option

these my specks

IRSHELL v5
usbhostfs.exe

So if you want, try this setup and see if you can get anywhere with it. maybe I need to change the settings in the config menu-not sure-my brain needs to rest now after that mental run a around

Hey mate...........haha, got it working yeeeeeeya :-)

I got ridd off ir shell, its a good program but it sucks for streaming.

Download this "25518_Custom_Firmware_Extender_3.1_.zip (its another menu kind of like m33's but a little different-it doesnt have to be loaded like ir shell) there will be the usual files in there. Just worry only about the SEPLUGINS, game.txt and vhs.txt for streaming. Plus I think it makes a big difference with what game you have in the UMD drive. When I finally got my iso's streaming with custom firmware extender on USB, the iso games in my usbhost file on my HDD showed up in my memory card location on my XMB they were working but with no sound and was using a old UMD game, so i changed the umd disk to a newer one and now they work with sound. ive ended up using AVP Requiem UMD. It must use the firmware on the disk in the UMD drive but im not sure about that.

Plus im not too sure if you can stream iso's to you psp and stream the display to a pc screan at the same time, I think you can only go one way at a time with the usb port, but i will look into it. What ive done about that is i stream my iso's from the pc to the psp in USB and have my pc hooked up to a 42inch tv(very nice)......I know its only half the size but my tv can zoom in so i get a full screen. This way theres more room for the iso to travel on the usb cord, so if it is possible to stream iso's and stream to a pc screen at the same time it mite a bit laggy. Hope this helps for ya, time to game up
Laters :-)
