ms 28 drive How hard can it be?

Im having difficulties trying to flash my ms28 drive

Im using a via sata vt6421a card
I tried 2 diffrent sata leads
2 diffrent pc, 1 64bit vista quad core 1 single core xp pro ancient pc
Tried Usb booting and now floppy disc, Only seem to get anywhere with floppy disc boting in dos
Followed tutorials for both iprep and etreme bootmaker with firmware 1.5 the definitions are updated

I get as far as dsam 1234567 12345 on iprep then it scans for a second or 2 then says drive not found then the red error message if i leave it run a bit longer. The file directory is on the floppy disc though from the first attempt but cant find the drive now

On extreme boot maker i enter mtkflash r /m orig.bin then it scans and says A:\> drive not detected

Thats as far as i can get it, Doesnt go anywhere near xteme primary or anything

Im quite sure i have followed the tutorials closely, i have tried about 5 different floppy discs trying to make sure it isnt faulty etc.

Any help from someone more experienced would be gratefully accepted

ok if ur using iprep i suggest v008.8 as it is so simple compared to the older version my apologies if ur already using that one.
if not use it
type in cmd which will be dsam 1234567 12345 hit ent then follow prompts there very acurate there is a tut on youtube by cofree if ya need it remeber ms28 needs 10secs to unlock otherwise u wont see the drive if it fails try again

ps stick with ixtreme n iprep that is my personal opinion though

You can use IPREP but I usually just don't.

You can use Jungleflasher and do it within windows now.

Or you can follow this old ass tutorial I wrote just for this particular drive and card.
