I have a liteon ldw 401s esoj burner and using DVDfab it seems to copy the movie fine but when I try to burn it donsen't recognize the blank dvd. Also xp windows explorer won't recognize it either. Is this a dvd prob or disc prob?

My first guess would be that it's your media -

Pickup some Ritek G04 or some Verbatim -

r u tryin to use a dvd+r on a dvd-r only burner, just guesin at this point.

think I figured it out.. the wife bought dvd-rw discs and the 401s only does =. Guess I will buy a couple dvd+r/rw dixcs cand try. Thanks for the help..

For future reference, Windows Explorer cannot recognize blank DVD's unless they are formatted. I would just use Nero to get the disc info (or I think you can download and use Nero CD-DVD speed to get details).
