I have a 3.4u. I have gone through the process of HBC installation several times and it seems to work. When I launch TP and walk up to that guy and speak, the wii takes me to that alternate wii menu. I even see "channels" for apps, wads, emulators and I can play games. The problem, that I've tried to solve by myself for a month, is that when I shut down and power up, there is no trace of any HBC. Of note, my Twilight Hack doesn't go away. And I don't have to erase a save in TP, I can just copy TH(USA) and launch TP. (i tried it the regular way 1000 times)

Hello,
You are having this problem because the system menu 3.4 has been patched to erase the TP game save file. Anytime you fully shutoff your console it will erase the game save. There are two things you can do
1. never shut your console off.
2. Downgrade your system with IOS downgrader/upgrader or Any region changer
There are some pretty good tuts for this out there for this let me know if you need help.
Your problem is that you have an boot-only version of the homebrew channel. You run the twilight hack and it starts up but does not actually install itself to the wii's internal memory.
Try again using the files in the link provided by PPending, that contains an installer for the homebrew channel. With that it should fully install and you'll be able to start it from the wii system instead of having to use the twilight hack every time.
