I am using Nero and I just click burn image and burn the wii iso file at lowest speed onto a DVD+R Memorex Dvd.

I have tried it with different ISO files and every time I try to load the game on backup launcher I get various disc read errors (324 or 349) I don't know what these mean. I tried searching and the guides say to just burn the iso as a dvd image at low speeds.

What do these errors mean? Or am i doing something wrong?

Also one of my friends burnt dvds works on my wii so I know I correctly installed the homebrew and backup launchers.

Any help would be appreciated!

I'm also having the iso324 errors consistently.
I tried TDK DVD+Rs first, and set the booktype to be DVD-R, but no go.
After reading up on the error, I bought Sony DVD-R's to try again, and it still doesn't work.

Anything else I could try?

Sounds a bit sketch, does anyone know what type of DVDs work for sure?

I used Verbatim DVD ?R or Memorex + R, the Verbatim is more reliable (stable).

Turns out my problem was NOT media, but rather IOS related- the cIOS that I thought was installed when I followed the tutorial after the TP hack actually failed, I just never noticed the fail message in the console text.

There are some extra steps I had to take since I'm on 3.4 (had to follow the instructions here to actually patch the cIOS properly).

The tutorial here is kind of vague when it comes to loading up a v3.4 system- they say it will work (despite what people are spewing), which is true (you *DON'T* need to downgrade), however no one on this forum seems to give all the steps necessary to do so in one place. The link above fixed my issue, and now all my discs loaded without 324 errors, including a walmart special DVD+RW (the least likely of the bunch to run, but booktyped as a DVD-ROM).

Sometimes it may be the media, but don't rule out user error!
