Ok, so I recently used totalnewbi installer to give my psp custom firmware 3.52 m33. I've tested it with eboots and it runs fine. However after looking online I realized that my cfw was old and that there were newer ones. I tried to upgrade my psp to 4.01 cfw, however when I started up the eboot nothing happened (just a black screen), so I searched around and found out that I needed to change my kernel to 3.52. I did that, but as soon as I exited the cfw recovery menu I got a "Settings Corrupted" blue screen. I did what it told me to (press O) and upon selecting the 4.01 update afterwards I get "you need to be running at least 3.52 m33 or higher", which I am (although this is a step up from the black screen). I checked my recovery menu to see that my kernel had been changed back to 1.50. Can anyone help me out with this? Further attempts have done the exact same thing (change the kernel back to 3.52, settings corrupted, etc.).
I am new to psp moddification, so I appologize if the solution incredibly simple. Thanks in advance.
