So i got a 1tb external hard drive and it worked fine on my 360, then i formated it to ntfs so i could put files 4+ gig on it. Now my xbox cant recognise it. ive read about a different format that works on the xbox and can store 4+gig files on it, but i have alot of films and games on my hard drive and dont want to loose them all and i dont have another place to temperaraly store them. Is there a firmware hack that will force the 360 to recognise it. or can i somehow format my harddrive without loosing all my data ???
Get macdrive7 and format it to HSF+ filesystem. Works on Windows and 360 and no 4GB limit.
Edit - Realized you have stuff on there already. Make a new particion and format the new partition to HSF+, copy all your files over.. Convert NTSF partition to HSF+, then merge them together into 1 big partition.
You may need Partition Magic 8 for this and XP (not sure about vista working with this)
ok, i got partition magic but i cant seem to format or creata partition which is HSF,, i only get the option for fat , fat 32 , ntfs and sum linux ones, i got macdrive 7, so i just need some help on the hsf bit please
