i getting the error in iprep 008.8 no valid firmware, i updated theixDef, the one that came with it didnt work. i was thinking iprep probley aint updated with the newest firmware? i also tried the older versions of iprep they dont work either. and the newest jungleflasher aint rekonizing my benq drive any ideas?
i got the mod disc iso and burned it it has nothing to run, it only has some .jpgs and a .xml nothing to install anything. im reflashing a benq that has 1.4 iextreme
if you burned the disc and it doesnt work then you burned it wrong cause i have used it. You do know it is a bootable disc tho not to use in windows.
just double click the iso file and burn it with ur defualt program. no layer breaks and stuff it is a simple bootable iso so straight burn to disc. i have used imgburn for this.
i did click on it and i burned it with ImgBurn. this is whats all on the disc
FILES folder with 5 .jpgs, colorschememapping.xml, filelist.xml, themedata.thmx.
thats it nothing to boot off
another question, with iprep 008.8 do i have to do anything to the firmware before i try to load it up in iprep because when i load it it says no valid firmware

well if you had actually tried the disc you would see it DOES work
this is from the creator of the disc answering the same question you asked without trying the disc
Hey frosty i got your new disc but there is no firmware files or bat files waz up wit dat?
It's a boot disc. You need to insert the disc into your PC, then reboot your PC, then boot into the disc and follow the instructions. The file structure of the disc resides in the boot sectors of the disc, and not in the normal Joilet file system. This is intentional, and is my new method for this release.
If you insert the disc into your PC with Windows running, all you will see is the Readme file, the Lite-On Serial Cable diagram, and the instructions to find your VT6421's port. "
