This is in no way a fanboy comment, but shouldn't people who are potential customers of this product just buy a PS3 instead?

Good point. However, with an MSRP of $350 you should expect this to have a street price of about $299. If the PS3 doesn't get a price cut this year then that could steer people away from it and toward the S560.

In addition, this model will most likely come with 7.1 analog outputs (like the S550). This is a feature lacking in the PS3 which could be important to those with older, non-HDMI receivers.

The feature that interests me is the addition of media playback on USB external drives. The PS3 still doesn't support NTFS (AFAIK) so if these new models will do NTFS then that's another advantage.

"consumers don't want living room clutered with wires"

Because they are lazy

And they don't even know how risky is the radiation from wireless devices , yet the transmitting signal alone.

No - clutter is ugly and an eyesore. Why would they be lazy? Do you think that people should hold the wires in their hand while they watch their media? Well, if that's the case, I'm uber lazy.

Wires can be dangerous because people can trip over them and they may cause a fire if overloaded. Radiation may be even more dangerous because there is enough evidence that the radiation it emits may cause Brain Damage, stroke or perhaps even malignancies somewhere in the body .... People are indeed lazy when it comes to cleaning the dust away from the wires which can build up and cause a fire !
