I've been playing ,y friends' 360's a lot, and decided to get one myself.
I've been reading up and mods and all that jazz, and know I can add a usb pc hdd. I'm wondering if I can completely swap a pc hdd for the original 360 drive, to not use the 360 drive at all.
Id I connect a usb hdd, can I still store everything I normally would on the 360 drive? aka- market content, saved games, live content, music, profiles, etc. ???
Or do I absolutely NEED to have a 360 drive?
Unfortuntly, you cannot store any Xbox360 information on an external hard drive. you NEED either an offical Xbox360 HDD or a memory card.
you can only store music, videos, pictures on a external HDD.
its must be formatted as FAT32, there is another file system the 360 suppots, but I cant remmber which one.
You can hook up a USB Hard drive thats formatted in FAT32, to save music, movies, and pictures but not game saves.
There's a HDD mod with the Xbox official Hard drive, if you don't want to spend $150 or whatever ungodly amount M$ is charging for its 120GB HDD.
The poster above has the link to the right HDD you need but also there's the same one on Newegg : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...al%20WD1200BEVS If you had like a coupon or trust them more, whatever. (There's two models with the same specs, the dev for the mod added support for both models)
