Are there issues with PAL, USA, and JAP PSP games?

are psps region encoded?
like, can i play jap games on my USA PSP with CFW? (or are there homebrew apps that let me play foreign games?)

-same question for PAL / EUR games

PSP is region free. However saves have to be the same region as the game, thus USA and EUR saves are not compatible.

Almost all psp games are region free and as far as I know only one region locked game exists which is "Battlezone".

so there are pretty much no issues regarding language, right? (unless you wanna upload a game save, then you have to get the right region)

Well the games will be in their native language which may not be your psp's language but it doesn't really matter usually.

The game saves are usually not compatible with other languages.

The games are not region locked but the US Version of any UMD video doesn't work on my JAP PSPs. (PSP1000&PSP3000)

I haven't tried using JAP UMD Videos on US psp though.
