Sorry for sounding thick but im a newbie to all this with these new games do you burn and patch them the same way as the old ones just that ive downloaded H.A.W.X and it doesnt seem to have a dvd file so i cant burn it with img burn also when i use dvd mulleter it just says its broke and cant fix it can anyone help

use abgx 360 v1, set auto fix to level 3 and it will create a .dvd file and remember google is your friend.

sorry to bother you but im struggling with this game ive downloaded h.a.w.x and all ive got is dnl-hx files no rar files at all ive used u torrent to download. in the past with all other games all ive had to do is extract them into a folder and ive ended up with a dvd file and a iso file but with this one it doesnt give me the option to extract it just says add to dhl-hx rar or compress to dhl-hx rar and email. do you no what i need to do

Try right clicking on one of the files and click "open with".....then choose winrar and it should open up like normal and let you extract the ISO.

it may already be an iso and his files extensions are just hidden. Are there a bunch of files or just one?

Open up any folder such as My Documents, click Tools > Folder Options > View then remove the tick from the box that says 'Hide extensions for known file types'. What does it show as the file extension?

sorry about late reply just finished work there are a butch of these files? it doesnt give me the option to open with? and ive turned the hiden extention for file types off but dont no understand what you mean when you say what does it show for the file extention? thanks for your help

file extension is a 3 digit abbreviation for the type of program used to open file. like .avi or .rar or .zip .exe and so on. what are the 3 characters after the period of these files.

They dont have one all the files ive got are dnl-hx 1-65 then ive got a file called dnl-hx sfv and two nfo files which i cant open. should i just download another copy.

they are .rar files and need to be opened with winrar.

I was just answering his question of what is a file extension. I know how to burn backups.

i think this guy has 65 files that need to be unrared/unzipped and he just doesnt have that software installed maybe. if it is 65 files it is most def needs to be extracted somehow. And if you cant right click and chose open with or open and then chose a program to use then you might need to grab a windows for dummies book off the shelf.
