Okay first of all you guys have an awsome forum here. Very helpful.

I have been researching for over 2 weeks now and i finally found out how to "soft mod" my wii without asking one singal question.......But now after the mod I have a couple of questions and I hope someone with experince could help me.

I purchased the following to do the mod:
1. Zelda Twilight Princess
2. USB SD card reader

I have downloaded the following:
1. Twilight Princess Hack for the 3.4
2. Homebrew channel
3. Homebrew install "app"

I followed the instructions as stated in several tutorials and forums and it was a success but I dont have a way to play backup games (backup channel). Where can I get one from that will work with 3.4u and how do i install it? My second questions is how can I make backup copies of my games? I have heard of WiiDump via wiihttpd? But can someone please help me find and install the WiiDump? Thank you very much. As soon as I get answers to those two questions Im going to write a very easy easy easy tutorial for the 3.4u version as I notice that many of the tutorials on the internet are outdated.

thank again

Im new, so bear with me!

This is the most up to date guide for the backup loader that I know of http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/735325

The backup channel is not required. Depending on what guide you followed you should have a backup loader in your homebrew channel. Most people also download a backup loader channel that is installed with the wad manager (again, should be in the homebrew channel) All the backup channels are compatible with 3.4, no need to worry there. There's a link to download a backup loader channel in that guide.

And this guide will give you the easiest method for backing up your games. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/701082

Penguin.... I tried the links you said and they are so confussing. I cant figure this out. Can you help me out?

This is what i have on my wii 3.4U now:
1. Already did the twilight hack
2. I have the homebrew channel ( when i first loaded it, it was empty. Just bubbles)
3. Installed app HomeBrew browser

Now i cant figure out how to get the wii to play backups? I was told i am missing two little things but now one wants to tell me exactly what "two little things" are or where i can get them from.

Please help... This is driving me insane.

Ok, you were obviously following an incomplete guide.

If you follow the one I gave you'll download a file that contains the cIOS installer and the backup loader. These are apps, and they go in the apps folder of your SD card. The apps folder is read by the homebrew channel and those are the things it displays when you start the homebrew channel.

The homebrew browser is a useful program but unnecessary for what you're trying to do.

The wad manager, as mentioned in the wii fix guide, should be included with the download for IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad (the file you need to install with the wad manager that will let you install the cIOS)

I cant give you a direct link to IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad since its copyrighted by nintendo, but if you google it you will find it easily.
