ok i modded a friends ben q 360 using iprep and it seemed to work fine. The problem is that it only reads about half of my burnt games. The games work in my xbox so i know there fine. Do you think that the drive is bad or it was just a bad flash???

Not 1oo% sure, but I would say if it was a bad flash the drive wouldn,t play any games at all,

sounds like a laser. are you using verbatims? before replacing the laser you could try to clean in or even pot tweak it.

im using tdk but i dont think its the dvds because they work on other systems. I'm pretty sure its the laser. can anyone tell me if i can swap this with a hitachi drive i have a few sitting around. thanks

Just spoof the benq to whatever hitachi model you have.But before id mess with that id clean the laser and do a pot tweak.then id switch the laser if that didnt work.I would not spoof because it will increase your chance of getting banned.

Yeah, that would be a laser issue. If it can read ANY backups, then you flashed it fine.

Just look on ebay for a replacement laser. cheapest method.

well i swapped lazers with another ben q a friend bricked and hooked it up and got an e74 error lol. Guess ill have another project for tommorrow

Defo try the POT tweak before you replace your drive. Worked for me in a similar situation.
