Been using utorrent for a few months now. but been having a regualar problem. It seems, correct me if its crazy, that my isp is jamming me up.

Anytime i leave my Torrents unattended to afk downloading, i come back and my connection is dead. The only way i can find to fix it after this is to power reboot my cable modem.

It seems to me that my isp is jamming me because im exceeding some bandwidth or somthing.

Anysuggestions?

There is a guide here at Afterdawn for setting up Utorrent and you can get it at this link...

http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/utorrent_guide.cfm

For more suggestions just enter utorrent guide into the search function and read the various threads posted.

However, read any advice your torrent site has on the matter and make sure that the settings are same or similar. You also need to be running peer guardian 2 it's available here also in the downloads section under p2p software. The use of both (when Utorrent has the correct settings) will "mask" what traffic is going back and forth with your connection. Your current provider isn't happy. Stop all torrents until your settings are finalised. You may get emails or letters asking you to cease and desist.

Last but not least..hit the edit button for your thread title. The mods will close this off if you do not add something more descriptive. Do this asap.

Cheers.

Read through this recent thread. You'll find more than one viewpoint on IP blocking.

Generally speaking you would start PG2 before opening your torrent client and update the lists. PG2 runs in the background...easy as. If you have the correct version for your O/S then PG2 will work fine.
