didn't know where else to post this.

This happened just yesterday, now whenever i turn on Utorrent my internet browser won't open up. It says page found, but takes ages to actually open(which it don't)

the reason i thought why was because i got a program called ipconfig, a port forwarding program. I port forwarded Utorrent, but then i got this problem. so i uninstalled the program and changed Utorrent's ports to something else and even went to my router config and restored all settings to factory defaults, but this problem still consists :(

my router is only connected to my pc and 360. (xbox live works fine though...)

Anyone know what my problem is?
i want to be able to browse the internet while i'm downloading stuff with Utorrent like always.

I really doubt that the portforwarding program you have is affecting your browser. Your firewall settings may have changed in either the router or your a/v software, so check them for instances of blocking.
Are you running peer guardian while downloading torrents? (you really should btw)

If so check this out...

I even tried to disconnect my router and tried a one way connection with my modem.

the problem is still there.

it seems my connection is bottlenecked by something.
also i'm using Nod32 for whatever it matters..

cut your upload speed.. simple. you don't have enough up bandwidth left to send acks to the remote servers.

WOW, nice timing. I was about to make a thread about this same exact problem, but another thing with my internet that isn't mentioned above is that even when not running torrents I keep having to press refresh before I can get to the page, it never goes through the first time. Also I have a laptop on the same connection that never gets this problem, even while running torrents.

any help would be appreciated.

read my reply above.. CUT YOUR UPLOAD SPEED.. just because a speed check says you have say 30k up.. that doesn't leave any bandwidth for anything but torrents...

think of your internet connection like a pipe.. once it is full and flowing as fast as it can.. you can't squeeze any more through.

nevertheless i found a fix:

it was Nod32 in my case that bottlenecked it.

Hope this helps others.

Make sure your torrent client is not using port 80. Port 80 is the default port for web browsers

@Leafar. Good to know you have it sorted. Nod32 eh? It's just my opinion but avg and avg pro are excellent choices.
If you are not running PG2 you may wish to look into how the app can help you. Having said that, there are certain issues with PG2 while using Nod32.

This might help.

Cheers.
