Well here is my situation i have set my hitachi 78 drive in mode B using slax cd and it worked fine. I didn't do the jungle flasher method because the drive wasn't reading on my computer. Now that its on mode B i tried using jungle flasher again to dump the drive and it said failed. So i then used firmware tool box but when i click save to dump the drive it freezes on me then makes the hitachi drive unreadable again. So i'm stuck now lol. I'm using a sata port on my motherboard if that helps any. Thanks in advance.

What motherboard have you got, it may be that its incompatible with your drive. I have heard that some nforce boards work

hmmm i honestly don't know how to check what motherboard i have but I have a dell. I'm also betting that its the motherboard that is incompatible. Can anyone recommend me what sata port to buy that is compatible with a hitachi 0078fk.
