today i thought i would update my firmware to 1.51 on my hitachi 59 drive,connected it up using connectivity kit and x360usb,followed the instructions for jungle flasher computer reconised my hitachi drive and all was well then going through the process the jungle flasher froze, now the computer wont reconise my drive and the drive will not work,in the xbox it comes up with error 65,when connect it to the computer it will only eject if the usb is not connected.i managed to make a copy of my key but where do i go from here? any help gratefully apprieciated

well if your pc wont recgonize the drive you have problems. how are u connecting it? via?

no drivers required for x360 usb kit just plug in and it should reconise it never had problemsd befor but think i have now wiped my drive dunno what to do

can you get it in to mode b??? because it still ejects so there could be a way to fix it.

dont know it will only eject when not connected to pc when i connect it nothing happens not even able to open or close it

I done the same thing to an hitachi 59 a couple weeks ago.....Mine said error 64 or 65 cant remember but when you unhook the dvd drive it will boot up to the console...I put anothr hitachi in it a 79 and spoofed it to 59 and it worked great....Ebay has new hitachi drives for 32 bucks thats with shipping....If you buy another 59 you just need to replace its key with your key....Sounds exactly what happened to me...I frooze up on putting in 1.4 Hope this helps ya out

or get a connectivity kit and try using that? Do you have sata ports?

i am using the xecuter conectivity kit but it will no longer reconise the hitachi drive i do not have a sata port this kit goes straight into a usb it was reconising it until jungleflasher froze the drive will open and close but not when the x360usb is attached,i think it has dumped the firmware and now i need to somehow get it back on

right i have ordered a new drive now.is there anywhere on here that gives a foolproof flashing method preferably not with jungleflasher as thats where my problems stem from

could use firmware toolbox to do it. thats how i did my hitachis in the past, but that was about 4 months ago, so it might have changed since then.

I used firmware toolbox. Heres what I done. I first flashed it with original bin. Dunno if you have to flash original bin. I just done it. Then copy your key. Browse for hitachi 1.51 for your drive....Then hit diff. flash patch....then check for differences then flash..I have a 79 so I used this x151-79-4e10 its the 12x fix....I downloaded mlb 2k9 its has that new 3rd wave and it played great. Hope this helps
