Problem with Wii Game

Hi,

I have downloaded Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum for the Wii. Run the BrickBlocker and then burned it to disc.

When I run it on the Wii I get the game showing on the Game Channel then it runs and just stops on a blank screen.

I have burned over 40 games using the same media and techniques and they all work. It is just this one particular game.

Any Ideas?

I am running a UK-PAL Wii with D2Pro chip with WiiClip.
Currently 3.4E Firmware

I have had no other problems but have been reading about extracting .wad files and then installing them instead of doing a full update.

If this is required could somebody explain how this is done?

hi sounds like the update you brickblocked was needed to play, was game from your same region? if it was burn with update intact install update and you should be good had same issue while back with force unleashed when got pal one left update on discs and ran prob sorted, dont rule out the fact that the iso may be corrupoted as well bad downloads do happen........

Thanks for the advice. The game is NTSC and my Wii is PAL. I have updated the wii using the Internet system update but it says there are no more updates. I will redownload the game from a different source and try again.

Not all NTSC game will be compatible with you PAL Wii, download the PAL Wii FIT it should work.

fyi..the Wii Fit NTSC works on my NTSC wii.

I think fiber32 was suggesting an alternative and not confusing the two. Incidentally, I am fairly sure JMFU had poor reviews. Another alternative that is knocking about at the moment is, "My Fitness Coach" There is a PAL version and it works.

If you want to peek into what is in the update partitions of Wii ISOs you can use WiiScrubber (presently @ version 1.4)

sorry about that, but the answer still be the same..NOT all NTSC will play in your PAL Wii.. And yes i also got the Jillian Michaels NTSC and works fine on the Wii NTSC.

Try Wii Update manager. It tells you whether there are updates within the ISO and also allows you to patch compatible ones in.

It is a region compatibility issue.

The region compatibility list says...
