You are going to have to be more specific as to what your intentions are with the program, as it is capable of many different functions.

As a ripper, Dvd Shrink is outdated.

As a transcoder it does a fine job for low compression backups.

For higher compression Dvd Rebuilder is the way to go.

I intend to look at DVD Rebuilder.

Dvdfab / Anydvd are the top 2 ripping programs.

Dvd rebuilder is one of the best compression tools. Dvd shrink is good also, and its updated version is nero recode.

You should help the noobs out with clearer language.

DVDFab is a great decrypting ripper. AnyDVD (among other things) decrypts on the fly allowing you to use the ripper of your choice. DVD Shrink and Nero Recode are excellent transcoders and DVD Rebuilder is a front end that uses high quality encoders like HCenc.

I would have if I was able to use my desktop and a full keyboard. For right now, I'm typing from my mobile, which luckily has a keyboard. I can only type soo fast usiing 2 fingers, but, like a few others here, I figured the n00bs could use google to search and help find their own answers.

AnyDVD also has a built in ripper which seems to rip cleaner than DVDFab. If you right click on the Fox icon in the taskbar, you have a choice of ripping to HDD (recommended) or ripping to ISO (not recommended according to the folks at the Slysoft forums). Slysoft support advises using the built-in AnyDVD ripper if the status indicates "structural protection" was found on the disc and you're planning to use a non-Slysoft transcoder/encoder program (such as Shrink or ReBuilder)
