xbox case mod leds no longer glow???

hey, iv got a black case mod on my xbox that i bought out of a set of 3, this particular one has an X cut out of it and glows blue, about a month ago the leds stopped working, then last week i got rrod, iv fixed the rrod with the x-clamp fix, but the leds still dont glow, any ideas? iv got a multimeter but although it may sound stupid iv never tested an led and thought id come for advice on the matter first,

cheers in advance!
Set your Multi meter to DC, Put your multimeter on the 2 point the come off the LED then see if you get a reading.
