I know this question may have been answered on here before but I cant find an asnwer that helps me. I am what you would call a n00b at this but I downloaded the eboot for Chrono Cross from a torrent that said I had to have 3.71 M33-4 for it to work...so I updated My customware to 3.71 M33-4 and it wors GREAT but once I got it to the Komodo Mama boss it freezes. Could anyone explain to me how to get this to work. BTW I own both discs of Chrono Cross.

you might also notice if you go to the status menu it will also freeze, the problem is psx eboots work differently on different firmwares so what you need is the popsloader plugin and then check out the psx to psp compatibility list to see what it runs on best or even the psx gameid changer by aserto as sometimes this helps too but...
to make things easy you could update to the latest custom firmware 5.00 m33-6 and download the popsloader in my signature and simply unrar, copy and paste to your memory stick, or you could search the guides here for the popsloader for you firmware to download and the guide on how to add all the firmwares to popsloader using psar dumper but it can get pretty complex for most.

Hello, i had that same problem too..but i got it solved i have a CFW of 4.01 M33-2 and it work already after i beat that parent komodo...it proceeds to the next scene which i will be meeting leena on the beach...
here's what i did..i downloaded the Chrono cross ISO/IMAGE with the file name of "CHRONOCROSS.iso & CHRONOCROSScd2.iso" from www.btjunkie.org and converter it using PSX2PSP v1.3GUI and i used the gameID SCUS94640...after i converted it i tried playing then my problem was solved...

I tried using simplepopstation some games dont usaully work when your playing on PSP it hung up after the intro or you'll just see black screen at all..

and for the PSX2PSPv.1.3GUI try looking for it at www.dl.qj.net

I think it will work on CFW 5.00..just try converting it you wont loose anything if u try...
