Well, the PS2 hard drive is a 3.5" IDE hard drive, so any 3.5" IDE hard drive will work for you.

That's the max on Newegg - 500 GB, costs $75.

Of course, there's the official 40GB PS2 hard drive. The advantage with this one is that you don't need to do any configuring or downloading of any programs or anything.

You can still use third-party hard drives, but I believe you have to have a special program or something installed on it before you put it in the PS2's expansion bay.

take note with WD drives that you have to modify the network adapter.

only the official 40gig sony will show in the ps2 browser. all other drives will need the dms4 modchip to show. and you cannot direct save to the hdd.

to play games straight from the hdd, you need hdloader.
