I have a third generation I-Pod nano and wish to rent movies to watch on my Samsung HDTV.

I have an Onkio TS-XR604 receiver and purchased the expensive I-tunes cables($50.00). I have them connected to the receiver in video 3 output. I have video set up and addressed to play HDMI out from video 3 and all I get is sound. No video.

Anyone have any ideas? Perhaps this can not work as I don't have the I-Pod directly into the HDMI "OUT" connection on the receiver.

Thanks for the help.

ok check your connections, make sure the ipod cables are connected to video in, not out, for example videos from the ipod, to video in3 in your av receiver, then you already have the output to go out the hdmi, i don't have the A/V receiver i have the cables connected directly to the tv i know you wanna get the best sound, so like i mention double check your connections, if you getting sound and no video is the connection.

Thank you for the note. I'll give it a try. here is what Onkio said when I contacted them. Doesn't make much sense to me, NEWBE you know.

"If you are using our ipod docking station, it wont be possible to use component cables with that accessory. Depending on what receiver you have its possible that the receiver is not capable of upconverting component signal through HDMI out, this would also apply with composite and Svideo connections. Its also possible that the generation ipod you are using could not be compatible with outputting video through component, or output video with the docking station you are using."

Thanks again for the note, I'll double check to insure I have the correct connections.

Hi Irongiant,
I just purchased my iPod, and really don't know what the hell I'm doing, but I figured out how to upload movies, but when I connected to the TV, I get sound, but no visual. If you have any advise for this I'd appreciate it. Thanks
