Some trouble getting games/movies to work

I bought a pre-modded PSP yesterday, came with 5.0 m33-5 and some application called iR Shell (Never used it before) I haven't had a PSP in over a year but I do have past experience with modding and using modded psps.

For some reason no games that I put into the ISO folder are working, and I've put 4 movies into the VIDEO folder and only 1 has worked...the rest have been saying that they are corrupt...I thought maybe it was a resolution problem so I got a movie the exact same resolution as the one that worked and had the same problem.

Does anyone know what my problem might be? It's been really irritating me and I've been thinking about just reformatting the memory card and starting over, but I have a feeling that my problem can be fixed easier than that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I have also tried shortening the titles of the games/movies.
Edit2: I just put in the 1GB stick that came with the PSP also (I got a 16 GB, 1 GB and 256 MB) the 1 GB has 5.0 m33-4 and a game that wasn't working previously (Silent Hill Origins) now works...but if I was to downgrade to this version on my 16 GB would I not be able to play any newer games that come out?
