There is a way to do it, but you need to install a certain firmware on the drive, so it can be used to dump 360 games. But you need a certain drive to do it. And it will need to be powered by the 360.

Right now, you can only rip games with the Samsung and Benq drives. And they first have to be flashed with the 0800 firmware. You can use your Xtractor to power the drive.

The next iXtreme update, 1.6, is suppose to add 0800 support for all drives. This would mean they all could be unlocked and detected via Windows.

Of course, in order to use the drives for ripping, the ripping programs would first have to be updated to support the new drives.

So with the 0800 support built in, we can probably just connect the drive to the PC, and dump games that way? If we had a connectivity kit to power the drive, could we just buy a drive, and flash it with the 1.6, and just use it with the PC?

Well that's pretty sweet! I may just buy a drive off eBay or something, and flash it with the firmware! I'll wait till it comes out, and have to try this!
