please help me

I have a PSP PHAT 1003 and firmware version 3.03 I want to put the most up to date custom firmware on it, i have coming in the post from focalprice.com a pandora battery 1000, 2000 and a memory card. i have a thumping headache from all the info please go over this with a newbie for the millionth time.

I charge the normal battery and the pandora battery, using the normal battery and having a memory stick plugged in i format card through PSP, then i start psp, link it to usb and select usb connection.
Im guessing i transfer a firmware file maybe 5.00m33-3 unzipped to the formatted memory stick.
then shut down replace normal battery with pandora (NOT SURE but while starting the PSP with pandora it boots to something (think you hold down a key while starting the PSP) and you select something when you have done this you go into the memory stick somehow and install the file downloaded)

i know im missing bits please fill them in for me.

Let me get this straight, you want a CFW on your Official firware of 3.30?

yeah no worries rolled back to 1.50 OFW, then to 5.00m33 CFW, how can i tell if the PSP 2000 is a version that i can do this for, my friend likes what i have done and wants the same?
