Hello, I have a chipped Xbox 360 with an infectus 2 modchip installed. I believe it has a BenQ drive. I am having some problems playing my backup of Major League Baseball 2k9 since it is one of these new third wave games. Any suggestions on how I can get this game to work on my console? Thanks.....
Is it safe to assume you "chipped" the drive with infectus2 ? Sounds like that is what you got as a motherboard chipped with infectus2 reaps no benefits if you leave it installed and has nothing to do with playing backups.
Anyway.... if it is your drive that has the infectus2 you would have to email infectuz.biz and have them write you a file that supports 3rd wave. Goodluck as infectus was once a thriving interesting product, now it is like pulling teeth to get them to do anything. According to their own website they dont even own or posess an exploitable console, the console in which infectus2 was designed to be used on..

guess its a matter of opinion, as the chip itself is very versatile for developers. It has a powerful microprocessor (Actel) on it that can perform hundreds of operations simultaneously. But it was originally used among xbox360 users as a nand reader. Once you have some of that info and a bit of buffer overflow you could exploit the 360 to run a simple linux installation, which lead to the beginning of homebrew and possible dashboards ( unsigned code ), even changing dvd keys and region codes, unbanning, and my favorite the "Dual Nand". Then xbox updates came which prevented this (have you seen the video where the guys who found the first few exploits actually tell Microsoft "we ran unsigned code on your box, what a f***ing bunch of dummies!!!!!). Then infectus along with Robinsod (and others) fought back with the "Timing Attack" add-on which helped you downgrade to an exploitable kernel...... Well you probally know what it was used for..... In summary if you were not a developer then you would have to wait for Infectus to write you a file for your application, which hardly ever happend. Then infectus went on and started changing their hardware (i.e chips, etc) and screwed the whole thing up. Not so much the NXE and blown efuse stopped downgrading but Infectus' incompatibility issues from what I understand. Anyway it is still a powerful processor but for us xbox people it is mostly just good for a drive modchip, but we all flash instead of chip these days.
