Have you installed the PortIO32 driver?

Yes. I scrubbed using JF for now. I have the maximus xtractor and I'm using the program its at least showing me the port but it keeps failing. Also the power cord that connects the drive and the xtractor together is annoying its not staying in properly and comes out way to easy. Is using the xbox cord better?

You only need the extractor to pull the Key etc etc from the Lite-ON. Once you have done that, you could use the original power connector.

I don't want to go back to the old power connection I just wanted to know if you could use the cord from the xbox 360 if it was possible. I've tried a couple of times with the xtractor and just when I think I might have got it the thing freezes.

Well it looks like another unsuccesful first attempt again I'm giving up for today. I was wondering if I could use the mod disc with the xtractor. I've tried and I'm getting an error stating the key is not being read. The serial seems to be working as I'm able to get to the part of extracting the key but nothing is being dumped. Any suggestions as to why my PC keeps freezing cause I'm using the I/O port which was suppossed be preventing that.

I'd appreciate ANY suggestions to help with this problem. I decided to update my drivers I have a via km266 chipset. Doing that I was able to now see my drive in Jungle Flasher!!! and 360 Xtractor software. I was now able to get the key using 360 xtractor software but was not able to spoof the drive because the 1.51 fw would not take.

I then used Jungle Flasher got the key again and was ready to flash the drive. I hit erase liteon drive and when I turn the drive off/on then it froze!!! On top of that it went right back to freezing the OS.

Come to find out the Via 6421 had been updated with the board and so I had to disable it again. Once I did that I went back in jungle flasher but it was not reading the drive,

I remembered what someone said in a another post and went ahead and retried with erasing the lite-on. To my surprise it worked!!!! I was able to flash the drive. I only had ONE more step hitting the outro button and guess what it froze again.

The problem I'm having now is that every time it restarts the computer it is reinstalling that driver in system32 folder.

I've tried to uninstall it temporarily to try and finish this drive but that didn't work I'm right there but something is cause an interruption.

Please help I've been at this three days straight.

Remove the "viamraid.sys" file from C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers folder.

I've done that several times already still the same outcome. What if I used the outside Would that help because it seems to pick that port by default.

No ideas at all? I have one more step. ANY advice that I have not already done would REALLY be apperciated cause I'm stumped I'm trying not to do anything to compromise this drive if it hasn't already been compromised already.

I'm feeling a bit ignored but its all good. Don't ask me how or when but some how it got out of vendor mode maybe through one of my many attempts I don't know how but out of just being tired I tried to hit the eject button to see if there was a response and there was. I know that the dump and everything else was successful so I hoped for the best and hooked it back up to the 360 and IT WORKS!!! would have been nice to know that I could have done this yesterday but I guess no one has had this problem.

The 530c driver for the VIA is said to be the most stable for flashing with the VIA card.

Several of mine have froze at outro. I just unhook and power cycle. Drive wakes right up. I am not positive but I think "outro" just releases the drive from windows. By the way, are you going to "device manager" and disabling the device?

i understand you have via driver file in your trash bin, but did you or did you not go to "DEVICE MANAGER" and right click, then choose properties, then DISABLE DEVICE?
