SINGLE DISC Metal Gear Solid eboot question. Why is Switch discs greyed out?

I have just downloaded Metal Gear Solid single disc eboot. It seems to be working lovely, audio is superb and game running smoothly.

However, in the home menu during the game, I notice that the "switch discs" option is greyed out.

Now, I dont want to start the game and get to the end of the first disc if it's not going to let me go further. Can anyone confirm if it is going to allow me to switch or is it greyed out permanently?

just play it. my FFVII eboot is single disc, and the switch disc is enabled when you get the switch disc screen.

the switch disc option is for multidisc eboots that have been combined, as long as the disc2 eboot you have has the same gameid as disc1 then you can continue playing it just fine.
