Toshiba technology to upscale YouTube videos

Toshiba has announced that they are currently working on technology that will upscale YouTube videos when played back on an HDTV. "I saw new technology [from Toshiba] that will improve YouTube videos for playback on a TV when I was in Japan", said Andy Bass, Toshiba's UK boss. I read about something like this last year involving Toshiba and they did it by putting the cell from a PS3 into the TV

so do we get smaller looking blocks or large rounded looking blocks with this up scaling technology.
