WiiKey and update 3.4 noob question

I just dl the 3.4 update and yet when I tried these 3 games specifically, mario tennis; sonic and the dark knight; and pro evolution soccer. Doesn't even give me an error just continues to search for a disk and on Wii main menu I lose cursor and ability to do anything besides turn sys off. Do I need to update firmware? and if so wear would I get it?

Any assisstance would be greatly appreciated ... Thanks.

So I updated latest firmware v 1.9 and still these titles wont work. Did I mess up by downloading the 3.4 update? and if so what ( if anything) can I do to correct this?
