.mpg to .vob - No Sound

I apologise if this has been answered before but I cannot for the life of me find anything about it. I have used MainConcept (Tmpgenc doesnt work) to convert a divx .avi into a .mpg (program stream). When playing it in Mediaplayerclassic there is full quality sound. I then go into Tmpgenc DVD author and using the default settings I author the dvd. When this completes I check the .vob file and there is no sound. I have reencoded it twice and had the same problem. I checked the audio specs and the file seems to have the right audio settings. Over the last few days I have successfully authored 10 DVD'a using exactly the same method. I have made some since discovering this as well.
