Yo, fairly experienced psp modder here (by that, I mean I haven't messed up following instruction on the intarwebs, yet :P). I happened to just have dropped my psp (cfw 3.71 m33) on the floor nearby, and upon booting up, was surprised when it asked me to re-install my cfw, like it had never been installed. Perplexed, I followed through, and re-installed it. Upon it saying that it had been successfully installed, I rebooted it. The same menu popped up, giving me, once again, the option to install 3.71 m33, the original 3.71 firmware, to dump the nand (no idea what that is), or to dumb the nand manually, which it marked as dangerous.

Now, I decided to re-do what I did when I bricked my psp last time. I tried using my pandora battery. After using that, I was surprised to see my psp start up without a fight. Instead, it booted up in a regular fashion, save one detail; All the things usually colored blue were different shades of red. It made itself to the regular XMB, with the date, time, and battery level displayed in the upper right hand corner, but it doesn't display any icons, and shuts itself down as if it were bricked.

I've tried multiple times to fix this now, and I'll admit, I'm quite frustrated.

Anyone know how to fix this problem?

If required, I can provide various screenshots and further details on anything asked. :)

Notes:
Recovery Mode - Still Accessible
/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP - Results in prompt shutting down of psp.
Attempted dump - Reported

did you try formatting your flash1 and settings in the recovery menu?
also i recommend getting hellcat's recovery flasher and backing up your nand for things like this which you don't have which is why your psp shutdowns when going to recovery/eboot.pbp.
but there really isn't much you can do software wise redoing everything with pandora and mms should have done the trick so you may have a hardware problem from dropping it.
