MLB 2k9 concole update and a patch for the game?

Hi I have my japan/Asia 360 chipped and have been happily playing away. Last week I got a real copy of MLB2k9 as soon as I put it in it started updating the xbox 360, I intially cr@pped myself but fortunatly it does not seem to have affected my xbox's ability to play 'other' games.


I never play online as the internet here in Thailand is not very good so I am not bothered about my live account being banned. However MLB 2K9 REALLY needs a patch as there are some well documented major glitches with the game, if I connect to live in order to update MLB what affect will that have on my 360 will I still be able to play my other games?

The only thing getting on live can do is ban your account...So if there is an update for mlb 2k9 an update would just update the game and not bother anything.....I have played online now for 4 months with my xbox 360 being hacked and have had no problems so far..But if it needs an update just connect and get it...Ive heard MLB 2k9 and HAWX there is a mandatory NXE update but the new dashboard is awesome anyways

sweet! thanks I will do that when I get home then.

The bugs in the game are just awful I haven't seen a game with that many major problems in a long time! I wouldn't be so bothered but I used to have a UK 360 and I couldn't get any baseball games at all so its been a long time coming, shame it isn't MLB 09 the show but I can't afford a PS3, especially when I can't get copied games for it!!
