Hi ,

I have a NTSC-U wii and everything was OK before i insert donkey kong Jungle beat (NTSC-J) and accept the update ... the date ( in wii menu ) has changed like this ( MON TUE WED 11/7 ) and the big problem is i can't enter wii settings it shows
...... i waited the new update and it comes in ( Mario Power Tennis ) PAL version converted to NTSC-U , and it asks me to update and i accept ... the date problem is fixed but the big problem NO .

Anyone can help ?? ... iam feeling desperate

Thx .

If you have an NTSC console then you need to update from an NTSC disc, not a PAL disc "converted to NTSC"

See the guide so that next time you will not brick your Wii again.

Not sure if you can update 3.4e with 3.4u. if not then you have to wait 3.5u games, make sure that it will be NTSC not PAL or Japan.

Install also an update blocker for your protection.

Nope, he cant update 3.4e with 3.4u. He's stuck until the next firmware.

Changing the region of a game disk does not change the firmware updates contained within, only the video settings (PAL or NTSC) so they'll display properly. For brickblocking purposes you need to take additional steps.

Or just download games from your wii's home region. That's the best way to avoid problems altogether.
