I'm trying to backup a game that was too big for a regular dvd+r but when the burn was done the game doesn't seem to work...is there a special way i need to burn dvd+r dl i used dvd decrypter
About a year and a half back, I met Afterdawn. They had guides to backup anything! I had a game, it was called GT4; you know it and I know it! As we know, GT4, among a few other games have a TOC of over 4.8 GB, which is over the limits of a typical DVD-5 disk. What I remember, was that, in order to backup the disk, you had to rebuild the whole disk. What I remember doing was, I had to make the 2 layers into 1? and where both data are visible. What next, I believe, I had to downsize data that was not vital to gameplay (ie. Sound, Graphics - textures, etc). Quantitatively, I believe it was 75%. Rebuild the ISO, burn to a DVD-5.
I believe you can back it up with a DVD-9 (DL), but if they aren't in reach, and the origs are in desperate need of being put away, you can rebuild them onto DVD-5s. Specifically for GT4, I remember a specific rebuild kit just for GT4. From there on, there were nice people who put up guides here to guide you through. I was amazed to see GT4 run again on my PS2!!!!
The End. (haha, turned from a story to a guide to a story ending THE END!)
Good luck. Oh yeah, can you just tell us what game it is?
