I used just upload cso's and iso's but now I noticed that the iso file includes a psp_game folder and a umd_data.bin. how do I upload this into my psp? should I upgrade my firmware?

no you don't need to upgrade your firmware... just install on your computer this UMDGEN then click "Batch ISO Converter" then drag the ISO.rar. here's the download link of the UMDGen...

you said it was an .iso file so just don't extract the .iso and copy it to the memory stick root:/ISO/whatever.iso

hey ShaggyZE... that thing you said that's wrong... just download the UMDGen and click "Batch ISO Converter" button then drag the ISO.rar into the Batch ISO Converter and click the CSO button, finally, click the "Start Batch Conversion" and that's it... in the folder of the game there's now a cso game and transfer it to your psp... that's it...

@tymarski no one ever uses UMDGEN unless they are advanced users trying to remove files and folders and compressing to .cso and it never needs to be used just to uncompress a .rar sorry but where ever dinosaur1 got a psp_game folder and a umd_data.bin is wrong because the only way of getting those files is from extracting them from the .iso or .cso and the only way to get .iso is from umd's so in other words someone extracted the .iso too far and got a psp_game folder and a umd_data.bin out of it and that isn't necessary and you should not need to rebuild the .iso with UMDGEN, so i'm not wrong

that and you said you put that ISO.rar in UMDGEN and isn't it for .iso's not .rar's? so shouldn't you also need to uncompress that ISO.rar with say winrar to make it a ISO.iso that you simply copy and past to your /ISO/ folder...

i'm assuming you didn't know that you could uncompress a .rar file with winrar and just copy the .iso instead of using UMDGEN to uncompress the .rar and convert into .cso instead of just using the original .iso?
