cannot for the life of me rip this dvd.I had no problem with the 2nd harry potter movie.

It comes up with "cannot read .vob" or something like that.Is this copyright protection that good?

Could be several things.....

Don't think it is down to protection though.

1. Clean the disc thoroughly and retry
2. Play the original and see if it has problems around the suspect VOB point (bad dvd then)
3. Try ripping each VOB seperately, and see if it encounters problems around the suspect vob

...............PIO is no go, DMA all the way...............
Beware of the Pixies - they move in over night and turn your life upside down

The question is, was it a DVD to start with ?

If it was, you've got a scratched disc !

If not, you have a corrupted VOB. In other words, you got what you paid for.

WHoooow there old paint, I was going by the thread, failure to decrypt a file, tis the most common complaint among those who download -

I had to ask -

BUT as it were, the tables got "turned" - I have seen Ads for Dr. Scratch, now I've learned from you, it works - certainly was good for me !
