PAL AR Max Problem

Okay basically i'm not having any luck getting an answer to this problem no matter where i search or ask for it so here goes:

Basically i've got a PAL AR Max for the PS2 and of course a PAL PS2 which i have never had any problems with prior to one game:

Persona 3 FES

Now i've put in the codes for this myself which i found here:

I put in the master code with no problems, the EXP x10 code, 10000 XP Per Fight and Max Cash all with no problems.

I boot the game and i get nothing but a blank screen and it ALWAYS happens. I've tried loading other games to see if my AR is screwed and it loads my other games just fine. I check the P3FES disc to see if there's anything wrong with that and it's perfectly fine as well.

Any ideas on what the problem could be? Many thanks in advance.
