I got the Yellow light of death for my playstation 3. how do I fix it. is there a Guide for it to do the fix. does anyone know. i want to fix it myself

The ylod indicates hardware failure in general, it could be anything from the hard drive to the gpu. I would not recommend messing with it beyond trying another hard drive. And if you open up the ps3 Sony will not touch it, warranty or not.

Hello I also got the Yellow light on my PS3 2 days ago you are not alone I also need help please answer to our crys of help!! Can it be fixed or returned??? I have a old 20gbs model and i have heared it happens to old models such as 20gbs and 60gbs. PLEASE HELP?!?!?!?!?

Well if you're really desperate and do not want to send it in to Sony, which I do not recommend because there is a good possibility that you may screw something up for good. Then there is a guide which will help in fixing the YLOD.

Isn't there also that thing about restoring your PS3's system files? Was that to fix the YLOD? Or was it something else?

His actual vid is around 45 mins long, he didn't realize youtube had a cap on video length. Its in the comments for the vid.
