Error in mtkflash Erasing hangs!

Hi everyone sorry about this I don't normally post help me threads but I'm a little stuck.

I've been using FreeDOS booting from USB drive with edited mtkflash with via pci card I have managed to dump my firmware i have a backup.bin and loads of copys of it.

I used hex edit to copy the 4000 to 4200 to copy into the Xtream FW so I done that then saved it.

Then I restarted the PC loaded up free dos entered "MTKFLASH W XTREAME.BIN" the banks all said OK and asked me to restart so I did I connected to my Xbox to my TV and get the 64 error so I assumed there was obviously something I did wrong to the firmware so I though for now I would flash the backup of the original firmware but now "MTKFLASH" says it's erasing the ROM and hangs, I done everything exactly the same as before same method for starting the xbox same port on the VIA card everything.

Just wondering if anyone has experience with this, sorry for being a pain everyone, I've also tried making a new firmware and trying different techniques of starting the xbox but to no avail.

Try dosflash 1.7. It doesn't require any editing.

if that doesn't work try a 32 bit windows application called Flash the Jungle or something like that.
