hi just fix the problem
downloaded 002fix_noforce_gamma.dol then openup apps folder on sd card
& create a new folder called backup launcher then openup new folder & copyed file into it
then renamed file boot.dol then delete old folder called backup launcher
put sonic & the black knight in & it work fine

This fix has been posted so many times in this forum.

But there is a new way to fix the #002 error. Update to cIOS36_rev8 which is supposed to patch the #002 error plus a few more fixes.

The installers instructions are contradicting what i see in front of me. The instructions state that it is a wad. Yet I see a dol.

There are 2 different ways to launch the #002 backup launcher. Either by channel (wad file) or by launching it through The Homebrew Channel (dol) file.

So the OP instructions are not contradicting since he only talks about the dol file launcher.
