Hi guys,

OK I had an XBOX 360... which broke (3 red lights) so I bought another XBOX 360... guess what... it broke (would not read disks)!!! Anyway, both had the 3120L drives, so although I knew it would be a long shot I switched them over...

One said X800475-014 on the sticker after model number, the other said X800475-009. Obviously both ad different serial numbers and ROM Versions.

Anyway, it didn't work... the XBOX now picks up disks, but goes to a screen saying 'Please put disk in an XBOX 360 to play' or something like that.

Anyway, any solutions??? I have heard about flashing firmware before... would this work?

Well the console that doesn't have RROD, you will need to extract the DVDkey from its drive and flash it to the other drive that works. You will have to spoof the firmware since the ROM versions are different.
