I am completely ost here so i figured I would post and see if you know the answers I am looking for. Here is my situation.

Xbox 360 with Lite-On drive with no key (bricked)
Several older xboxes with various degrees of problems
Hitachi 79 that is spoofed with original Samsung Firmware.
Drive keys saved for every old drive/board I have (except Lite-on)

I had 2 questions. I have cases without any problems and all the keys to them, just no working drives to put in them. Is there any way to take the Lite-on drive and spoof it to a Samsung? I see that its possible the other way around but I can not seem to make it work.

The hitachi was just a dumb mistake as I spoofed for the first time without before reading any forums and put the original samsung firmware so that it will play original games but I can not update the firmware because I can not get it to go into mode B and thus can not get my computer to recognize it. I obviously have tried the

I have a connectivity kit, via vt6421, and any softwares I will need. I was trying to put an xbox together so my little cousin can have one so if there is any way to take all these spare parts and put something together I am all ears.

Also I read it is still possible to retrieve Lite-on Key from motherboard with the proper equipment and know how. Is there anybody in the Dallas area that has that know how/ equipment and has managed to do it before?

I have already tried the "power on, eject tray, unplug power from brick, replug in, turn on console" method but it did not work since the firmware I put on it was not modded, just some original Samsung firmware. I have also tried SLAX and the switch on my connectivity kit wihtout any success. Thanks again for any help.

I'm surprised it even works with the wrong brand firmware on it. But just to throw this out there. since it has stock samsung firmware on it how about trying Sammy unlock.

Im not quite sure what you mean by sammy unlock, can you point me to a forum where the info is located? The drive will not show up in windows im guessing because it is really a hitachi and needs to be in mode B.
