Windows sees the drive but and jugle flasher says 1 drive found. Then when I do vendor mode it fails. Ideas?

Well, guess I lied, it's ati 4379 that is working but I can't get it into vendor mode.

Says

Via ohci compliant IEEE 1394 under device and then under that device not found but in the main window it says 1 dvd rom found and it's under device manager. I get 1 second to power cycle. Maybe I'm not fast enough. Seems to me I am.

its not going to work with the ATI chipset, you are wasting time. Just pickup a VIA adapter card or have a friend with a via or nforce3 chipset do it for you.

thats what he does once he has the correct hardware, he needs to go out and buy the right sata host adapter.

Correct. I agree he needs a new card and he needs to pay attention to the type of port he is on.

Actually the Benq and the Sammy are the easiest once you get everything you need. I think the lite-on is easy too but you have to have extra hardware. The hitachi is the only one I ever have problems with.

What do you need for the lite-on?

What's all that? You can't use the same method for the lite-on?

Its similar but you have to get the key a different way. The lite-ons require a key, a inquiry and a identify file. These have to be extracted by inserting a probe/spear into the r707 hole located on the PCB board. Its all explained in the Jungleflasher user guide.

Pretty interesting. I just want to know who thinks of this stuff. I did notice you can get an xbox opening tool on ebay. Seems a few on youtube use it as well.
