I have checked the other forums but none of them have any answers i am looking for. I downloaded iprep 008.8 and i tried loading my benq firmware and it says no valid firmware loaded. It works when i load ixtreme 1.5 but not when i try and load ixtreme 1.51. It doesnt work for any samsung, benq, whatever. The reason i need 1.51 is to play the new wanted weapons of fate. Now i wasnt really paying much attention when i was flashing my cousins xbox and mine, i think they have 1.51 but im not sure... And i swear that i was able to load the benq 1.51 firmware, but then when i flashed mine and his each of them lost the dvd key cuz i flashed before reading. And so i had to copy the old key to the hacked firmware and so next time i came to flash my friends i had to re download ixtreme. Then that is when it would not load 1.51, only 1.5, and i dont know how to update the new iprep, other than to copy the ixdef which i already downloaded from xbins and replaced the old one but it didnt work...btw i downloaded everything from xbins.

I have the same problem in that iprep won't recognise firmware 1.51 after copying the new ixDef.xml to my PC.
I have a benq drive and previously flashed it to 1.41.
Jungleflasher 1.55 or 1.51 doesn't see the drive either.
I have a VT6421 controller and am connecting the drive to that.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks.

Hey xboxer, i had the similar problem...well at least jungle flasher did not work for me...But i figured it out, you need to update the ixdef, i had it for 1.5, and you need 1.51. so here is the link to fix it...http://www.kickasstorrents.com/xbox-360-ixtreme-v-1-51-www-descargas360-com-t2154549.html
I hope you know how to use torrents, but I'm sure you do since you flash xbox 360's, and you can just uncheck everything but the one you need like i just checked the benq. Hope this helps!

Sorry for double post but i forgot to tell you how to update, lol...Just go to my computer your local disk(C) then go to programfiles/iprep/resources and you should see the ixdef, just copy the ixdef 1.51 from the file you downloaded and paste it in the resources folder, then hit copy and replace.

Thanks for the response but I have already tried this, I downloaded the file from 360mods and replaced the existing one but that made no difference at all and iprep still doesn't recognise FW 1.51.
I did try using two different versions of iprep, the current one and the previous version and neither worked.

Which ixdef did you download? You need to make sure you didnt accidently get 1.5 because you need 1.51. And if your running vista try right clicking and hitting run as administrator, or if that doesnt work than try right clicking hitting compatability and then clicking run this program in windows xp service pack 2. Let me know how it goes.

Good shout, the one off 360mods didn't work, it did have an entry in the ixdef.xml for 1.51 but t must have been incorrect.
I downloaded that torrent and it recognises the firmware now.
Will flashmy drive on the weekend now.
Rest assured I'll come back here if I get stuck ! ;)

Re-flashed with 1.51 no problems at all using iprep which is very straight forward to use.
Thanks.

Yeah where did you find the ixdef in the download? I DL'd the torrent and still have the same problem as the first guy. Iprep keeps saying "no valid firmware loaded". I opened the ixdef in the iprep folder and everything appears to be 1.5 not 1.51. What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You can get the latest custom firmware including the ixdef for 1.51 at Xbins. The easiest way to get on Xbins is use AutoXbins which you can google for.
Then replace the old ixdef file with the new ixdef for 1.51 in iPrep.

I did just that and the only ixdef that Xbins had was 1.5 not 1.51.
