Magic Switch Pro V4 Installation Help Needed

I have the slim PS2 (model SCPH-75001) and I just bought the Magic Switch Pro V4 w/ Swap Magic.

I'm trying to install all the pieces, and I'm having an impossible time with Tool E (the stainless steel part). I've looked at multiple installation guides (and even a crappy 2 second video) of how to install it, but I can't get it for the life of me. I've been trying for at least a half an hour, and I'm burnt out. I know it's supposed to go into the really tiny hole of the metal strip, but regardless of the angle, it won't go in.

(Look at Tool E instructions on this guide to see what I mean)

So, does anyone have a detailed way of easily installing it? If not, are there alternative methods/items that could be used to simulate the same effect as Tool E?

Tool E is a pain though, if it got bent, it may not push the button down anymore.
This isnt going to help but,

If u still cant get it in just take it apart n tape it down, be careful with the power switch when putting it together though.
