OK I recently added a game to my WDC-WD400EB-00CPF0 which has never given me any problems. I Used Winhiip to install like i do any game. But this time something diffrent happend...

I Put the HD in *Jumper Settings were correct* I forgot to screw the ps2 HDD Adapter in and when i put the ps2 back onto my shelf/stool the side of the ps2 knocked up against the Widescreen TV and the HDD Adapter became unplugged(It didnt fall off, just the plug that connects to the ps2 came unplugged.) I plugged back in , Loaded HD Loader and it gave me hardware error.. Also i tried looking in hdd0: in ulaunch.elf and it gives me a blank root screen no files at all..

Second i did this I switched to another HD i dont use that had games on it after this incident and it booted games/and played fine.
I opend ulaunch elf. Iforgot what i was doing And i forgot the ps2 was on and unattached t he HD while the ps2 was on and since then ive had hardware error on that HD, I reformatted that HD*FULL FORMAT* and it still doesnt work. Formatted with WinHiip...any help?

Also wanted to note, The WD HDD shows no errors in WINHIIP. But still gives HD error.

I would check the pins on the hdd to make sure you didn't bend one while it came out.

You know the Network adaptor is ok then if you tried another hdd.

Did you try a scan/repair in Winhiip

Yes i tried a new network adapter and it seemed to work again.

Probably pulled a cord because im using the *sort of soft mod to use Western digital HD's on ps2 network adapter*

Yep I know the modification you mean.

Ok I have had that problem with uLaunch sometimes also after deleting a partition, but usually the scan/repair in winhiip fixes that.

As for the other harddrive that you unattached, then formatted, you could try doing a winhiip reversal on it, then formatting again using winhiip and add games.
Basically starting over.

Or just unplug your PS2 for about 15 minutes, then turn back on and see if that helped.
